RESTYLANE and JUVEDERM - Composed of non-animal stabilized
hyaluronic acid, a substance found naturally in the human body. These
fillers are fully biocompatible and have a high safety profile. Restylane
and Juvederm maintain its shape using the body's own moisture. The
ability of hyaluronic acid to bind to water is what helps provide long-
lasting results. Restylane is used to fill nasolabial folds, correct bags
under the eyes, and plump up lips. Results last approximately 6
months. Juvederm is an excellent soft feeling filler used for lips and
nasolabial folds. Juvederm may last as long as one year in some
patients, but 6-8 months is more common. Dr. Rubinstein participated
in the clinical trials for Juvederm and has been using Juvederm since
its FDA approval.
RADIESSE - Made of very tiny, smooth calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA)
microspheres. The microspheres (particles) form a scaffold through
which your body’s own collagen grows, this produces the desired long-
term effect. Radiesse is a new generation injectable filler that offers
superior versatility for both cosmetic and reconstructive use without
surgery. These unique advantages make Radiesse the ideal choice for
facial shaping and contouring - general filler for deep folds, non-
surgical nose job, chin, acne scars and other depressions of the skin.
SCULPTRA - A synthetic injectable material known as “poly-L-lactic
acid.” Poly-L-lactic acid is a biocompatible, biodegradable material that
has been widely used for many years in dissolvable stitches and other
types of implants. Sculptra provides a gradual increase in skin
thickness and restores fat loss from aging. Two to three treatments are
required and the results from Sculptra injections are not immediate.
Sculptra is used as a "liquid face lift" for long lasting results which last
at least 2 years and are often prolonged by touch up injections.
Nasolabial folds, cheeks, under-eye bags and other facial fat loss can
be restored for a youthful appearance.
Cosmoplast (Collagen) is also used for superficial lines and for lip
sculpting. Cosmoplast is often used in combination with other fillers to
help correct superficial wrinkles. Cosmoplast is often used for lip
sculpting because of its desirable results.
